February 23, 2018 solemn opening of the Ukrainian-Moroccan Center in the Kharkov National Economic University named after Semyon Kuznets was held.

The opening ceremony of the Ukrainian-Moroccan Center was attended by the rector of the Kharkov National Economic University named after Semyon Kuznets Vladimir Stepanovich Ponomarenko and honorary guests, among whom: Plenipotentiary Minister of the Embassy of the Kingdom of Morocco in Ukraine Ahmed Balafrezh, Deputy Chairman of the Kharkiv Regional State Administration Anatoly Valerievich Babichev, Director of the Ukrainian State center of international education Elena Shapovalova.

The history of relations of the Kharkov National Economic University named after Semyon Kuznets with Morocco has more than 30 years. It is this long-standing friendship that became the basis for the establishment of the Ukrainian-Moroccan Center on the basis of our university. Moroccan students and university graduates, scientists who worked and continue to work here - all of them make a significant contribution to the formation of this Center for Science and Culture.

The purpose of the opening of the Ukrainian-Moroccan Center is to promote the language and cultural adaptation of students from Morocco who study at the KhNEU. S. Kuznets and other universities in the city of Kharkov. The main tasks of the Center are:
- establish links between Moroccan and Ukrainian universities;
- to exchange students between Morocco and Ukraine in different specialties;
- organize conferences with the participation of specialists from Ukraine and Morocco.
- organize seminars and round tables to discuss issues related to culture, education, student life of Moroccans, etc .;
- To acquaint the Ukrainians and visitors of the Center with the Moroccan culture by using different cultural and entertainment programs;
- To unite the Moroccans and create for them familiarization evenings;
- organize events dedicated to memorable dates and holidays.

In connection with the increase in the number of students from Morocco, the cases of cheating entrants (at the stage of registration of the invitation and admission to the university) began to increase.

Taking this into account, the most important tasks of the Ukrainian-Moroccan Center on the basis of the KhNEU them. S. Kuznets began to avoid such situations and complete coordination of the process of inviting and enrolling the applicant to the university.

The Ukrainian-Moroccan Center is located in the classroom of the 402 educational and library building of the Kharkov National Economic University named after Semyon Kuznets.
